Fire in tarot

The suit of Wands 路 signs Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

will 路 passion 路 energy 路 creation

Fire is the element of will and spirit, given in tarot to the Wands and, among the trumps, to Judgement, the call to rise and begin again. Its signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius: the spark, the steady blaze and the wildfire. Fire acts first and thinks later; it brings enthusiasm, courage and creative heat.

In a reading

Many fire cards suggest a situation driven by desire and energy, where action matters more than analysis. Too much fire burns out; too little leaves plans unlit.

Correspondences follow the Golden Dawn system the Rider鈥揥aite鈥揝mith deck was made within (tropical zodiac, dates approximate; they shift by a day in some years). Other traditions assign some cards differently. See the full table for all 78 cards.
