Earth in tarot

The suit of Pentacles 路 signs Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

body 路 work 路 money 路 patience

Earth is the element of matter and the body, given to the Pentacles. In the Golden Dawn it shares The World with Saturn, a fitting home for the element of completion. Its signs are Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo: the mountain, the field and the orchard at harvest. Earth is slow, practical and lasting.

In a reading

Many earth cards bring the matter down to work, money, health and home. Too much earth gets stuck; too little leaves ideas with nothing to stand on.

Correspondences follow the Golden Dawn system the Rider鈥揥aite鈥揝mith deck was made within (tropical zodiac, dates approximate; they shift by a day in some years). Other traditions assign some cards differently. See the full table for all 78 cards.
