Swords: clarity and its cost
The Ace of Swords is a breakthrough of clarity. The Two sits blindfolded between two blades, avoiding a decision; the Three is heartbreak in the rain. The Four rests, a knight laid on a tomb. The Five wins a fight that leaves everyone poorer. The Six crosses to calmer water. The Seven slips away with stolen blades: strategy or deceit. The Eight stands bound and blindfolded, though the way out is open. The Nine sits up in the night with worry; the Ten lies face down, the worst over, dawn on the horizon.
Swords can look relentless, but the suit is about the mind, and the mind's traps can be seen through. Many Swords cards show a way out that the figure has not taken yet.
Pentacles: building something real
The Ace of Pentacles offers a solid opportunity. The Two juggles; the Three is skilled work recognised. The Four holds on tight. The Five walks in the snow past a lit window: hardship, and help nearby not yet asked for. The Six gives and receives. The Seven pauses to judge a slow crop; the Eight works patiently at a craft. The Nine enjoys a garden she has made; the Ten is wealth and family across generations.
