Page of Pentacles in 6 decks
The same card as 6 decks draw it, five and a half centuries apart. What stays the same is the card’s core; what changes is where a reading can find something new. The meanings are written for the Rider–Waite–Smith picture; the descriptions here are of each deck’s own. Not in Oswald Wirth, which has no Page of Pentacles card.

Pamela Colman Smith, 1909
A young page stands in a green meadow holding a pentacle up before his eyes with both hands, studying it with total absorption. Behind him a ploughed field runs toward a grove of trees and a distant mountain. He does not move; he looks.

Lequart, Paris, 19th century
A young man in a wide blue and green hat holds a coin up in one hand and rests the other on his hip. He wears a striped tunic with a pleated grey skirt, and one red and one green-and-yellow stocking. A second coin lies on the ground at lower left. The title VALET DE DENIERS runs down the right edge.

Tarot de Viéville
Jacques Viéville, c. 1650
A young man in a broad yellow and red hat stands facing out in a buttoned green doublet, pleated yellow skirt and red hose. He holds a coin up in his left hand, and a second coin lies on the ground at the lower right.

Visconti-Sforza
Bonifacio Bembo, c. 1450
A fair-haired youth in profile, facing left, holds out both hands towards a faint gold coin tooled into the dark ground. He wears a short full cape patterned with blue interlace, hemmed in gold, and pale hose with a blue band at the knee. Behind him are a green hedge and a low fence above a green meadow.
In the Visconti-Sforza deck the number cards show only their suit symbols, and the trumps are unnamed and unnumbered.

Sola Busca
c. 1491
A long-haired youth in a green cap, purple tunic, red sleeves and one red and one pale leg points towards a small bird in flight. A hawk sits on a green perch above, and a coin lies on the ground by a bare stump. A tassel hangs at his belt and 11 is at the right.

Soimoi
Mike Koz, 2025
A young man with shaggy black hair stands in a red kimono in front of terraced fields, holding a large gold coin with a three-comma swirl in both hands. A stick with a red cloth bundle tied to it rests across his shoulder. A tanuki sits at lower left beneath a bare tree, a red sun hangs over green hills, and red maple leaves blow past.
